Andrey Iskanov is close to finishing Breaking Uroboros and Ingression, but he needs your help.
Andrey has been my good friend for the last 5 years, and I’ve admired and enjoyed his work for the last 10 years. I recently had the opportunity to work with him on Breaking Uroboros in his hometown of Khabarovsk, Russia. I’ve included photos from our shoot for Breaking Uroboros from my scenes as the demon Golgotha and the “Bitch of War” for the flashback scenes. During my three weeks in Khabarovsk, I’ve seen firsthand how passionate Andrey is about his films, but also how limited his resources are.
While I was in Khabarovsk, Andrey showed me the footage he’s completed to date for both Ingression and Breaking Uroboros . I am now one of a few people in the world to see the original cut of Ingression as it was shown at the HOFF film festival in Estonia. The original cut is great, but Andrey wants to make it even better by removing scenes with CGI and replacing them with practical effects, and further developing key concepts and characters. The new cut of Ingression will have an epic underwater finale, however, this cannot be shot in Khabarovsk.
With your help, we can finish shooting both Breaking Uroboros and Ingression in February, 2020.
I believe in Andrey’s work so much that’s I’ve put as much of my own money as possible into helping him finish these films, but Andrey needs approximately $3,000 more to film on location in Thailand. This will cover expenses for airfare for Andrey and for Ingression’s lead actor, Svyatoslav Iliyasov (a.k.a. “Slava” to his friends), mandatory health insurance for international travel, local assistants, lodging expenses, and miscellaneous props/costumes/special effects.
